St Patrick Indeed

I had the gang over last night for some St. Patrick's Day festivities. We made some Irish Stew, had some green beer and partied it up. What made the stew irish you might ask? Well the inclusion of 2 pints of Guinness might have something to do with that :) It turned out perfectly. I'm thinking that recipe might definitely become a St. Patrick's Day tradition very quickly.

If you are ever on the hunt for a dish that involves beer I highly recommend the Beer and Food section of BeerAdvocate.com. It has some very interesting food ideas to say the least. I can't say how good they are but the Irish Stew recipe that we used came from there and it was awesome!

That's it for me. L8r.

Stupid Habs

It was a great game last night between my Leafs and the Habs. In the end it didn't turn out to well for the Leafs but it was a great game none the less. I was quite suprised about how high scoring the game was to tell the truth. I was expecting a 2-1 kind of score definitely not the 4-3 blowout that it was.

It seems that the Toronto and Montreal rivalry is alive and well. It seems that the media is more focused on the Toronto vs Ottawa games in the past few years. To tell you the truth the "Battle of Ontario" just isn't as exciting as a good Leafs and Habs game. There is definitely more history involved and for some reason the fans just seem to get that much more into the game.

I've never actually seen an NHL game and if I have my wish my first game will be Leafs and Habs in the Air Canada Centre. That would be awesome!

Iron Ring Photos

I just posted some more pictures for Lauren in my photo album. They are from her Iron Ring night. Lots of pictures of engineers partying it up. Check them out here.

Not much new with me lately. I'm getting into watching some curling again. The Brier started this weekend so it's going to be a nice week of lounging around and watching tv. I can't wait! :)

Wing's Jersey Style

Last night for wing night we went to our usual spot. It just turns out that our usual spot has changed a little now. They have dropped the Don Cherry's franchise and are now called Jersey's. Basically it's the same place with a new name. The only difference in the wings is that the sauce is on the wings instead of on the side. I'm all for the change though. It's definitely messier but it's wings, they are supposed to be messy. :)

After wings I dragged myself home and did some much needed dish washing. I really can't decide if I hate doing the dishes or laundry more. It's a pretty tight race that's for sure. I think I need a million bucks and a maid :)
